Professional Background:
Kurt Jensen, Psy.D. is a clinical and consulting psychologist, and the President of WorkSmart Consultants, LLC. Dr. Jensen has assessed, coached, and counseled thousands of employees, supervisors, and executives, from small start-up companies to large, global corporations. He has presented at State, national, and international conferences on a variety of psychology- and work-related topics, and published in professional books and journals.
Education:
Kurt earned a B.A. with a double major in Art and Psychology from Edgecliff College in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed his Doctorate in Psychology at Wright State University’s School of Professional Psychology in 1988 and is licensed to practice in the State of Ohio.
Rowing Background:
A "rookie rower," Kurt has been on the water just once under the watchful eye of Past CRF Chairman (and current Shaker Hts High School Coach) Bob Valerian. (Kurt's daughter, Rachel, is Senior at Shaker and has twice competed in the High School Nationals.) An avid volleyball player and competitor in the U.S. Masters Swimming program, he will be participating in WWRA's Summer Rowing League this year, desperately hoping that he has the strength and stamina necessary to call himself a "rower."
Community Involvement:
Dr. Jensen has served on the Boards for several local, State, and national nonprofit organizations over the past 20+ years. He is a Past President and current Board Member of the Cleveland Psychological Association, and has served as Coordinator of Behavioral Health Services for the Cleveland Chapter of the American Red Cross since 2002.
Kurt lives with his wife, Vanessa, and two children in Shaker Hts.
