Professional Background:
Gary serves as Medical Director of the MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio, as well as Residency Program Director, Professor and Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. A Certified Physician Executive (CPE), Gary also earned a Masters of Medical Management (MMM) degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He is Past President of the Association of Academic Physiatrists, and currently serves as a Director for the American Board of PM&R.

Education:
Gary received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, and is a Board-Certified physician specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

Rowing Background:
Gary began his rowing career in 2003 in Cleveland with the Western Reserve Rowing Association, initially in the summer and Fall Rowing Leagues, progressing to Recreational Rowing. Gary joined WRRA’s Masters Program in 2005, and began sculling in 2009. Gary has represented WRRA at multiple regattas, including the Men’s Senior Masters 8+ at the Head of the Charles in 2007 and 2008.

Gary and his wife Janet, also a Masters Rower, live in Chagrin Falls. Their daughter, son-in-law and grandson also live in the Cleveland area.
